Hi. My name is Ron Bury and I live in the Highlands of Scotland. I've been a photographer since the 1960's including several years as a professional pre-digital.
After a break I got into digital in 2002 and spent the next few years mainly shooting wildlife and nature subjects. Health and circumstances made a mess of my ambitions for a few
years so 2010 is a bit like starting again.
All my wildlife subjects are, as a matter of principal, genuinely wild (ie: not photographed in captivity) which means the new gallery will grow slowly.
I take a non-invasive, minimal disturbance approach to all wildlife subjects and while I can't be completely invisible I avoid interference and distress, very often at the cost of getting a result.
My pictures are exclusive to me and available through affiliated outlets. They are produced, in many instances directly from my photography, but also from a combination of
my photography and digital art work; and are available as prints to mount, frame and hang.
Image Files for Web use and Publications can be made available, but only on the express condition that it is clearly stated that the image is a reproduction from this collection;
and also that there is an obvious and adjacent link or reference to this web address......

You can buy direct from me if the products you require are not offered for sale on any of my affiliate sites.
The web site has, for a number of reasons, taken a while to get off the ground. In part due to the severity of this last winter and also because of the poor quality of the
telephone infrastructure in the glen. It was over four months before I got any connection to the outside world and when the line was eventually activated it couldn't even support dial up
internet access until the engineers had carried out work.
Affiliates. I'd hoped to introduce a shopping cart but as I don't have a broadband connection, it would be unmanageable.
I've decided not to offer a shopping cart and instead I'm looking for suitable sites with shopping facilities, through which I can make my prints available......

I'm able to receive text only email on a daily basis but because I can't easily transfer files I'm obliged to ask you to allow up to 21 days for UK order delivery. I would however, expect
it to be less than 10 days on most occasions.
When things change in the future, I'll update my service as I'm able. Meanwhile, if you see a picture in the gallery you would like as
a print, please phone, write or email quoting the Print reference number, title and size.
I hope you enjoy your tour of the gallery.

The Hills of Dream - Fiona Mcleod circa 1900
The tide of noon is upon the hills.
Amid leagues of purple heather, of pale amethyst ling, stand isled great yellow-lichened granite boulders, fringed with tawny bracken.
In the vast dome of blue there is nought visible save a speck of white, a gannet that drifts above the invisible sea. And through the hot tide of noon goes a breath as of the heart of flame.
Far off, far off, I know dim hills of dream, and there my heart suspends as a white bird longing for home: and there, oh there, is a heart of flame, and the breath of it is as the tide of
noon upon these hills of dream
